Country Dogs was established in 2017 by Alexa Clark. Alexa has nearly 20 years of professional experience working hands on with all sorts of dogs in a variety of roles, from Kennel Hand, Dog Behaviour Assessor and Rehomer at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, Animal Care Advisor at Purina Pet Foods, and Senior Canine Hydrotherapist and Rehabilitation Assistant at the internationally renowned Greyfriars Veterinary Rehabilitation Centre, where she teaches in behaviour on their hydrotherapy qualifications. She has also owned various breeds, including German Shepherds, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Shih Tzu's, mongrels and a Rottweiler and fostered many more. Alexa has collected qualifications along the way culminating in her BSc Hons in Applied Animal Behaviour, where her dissertation looked at breed traits in dogs. Alexa is a provisional member of the Association of Pet Behaviour Counsellors (APBC), which means having gained the relevant academic qualifications she is gaining the practical experience necessary for full membership. She is also enhanced DBS checked and first aid trained, giving you the peace of mind that you and your dog are in safe hands.
